September 2006 Monthly Meeting

September 19, 2006

Presented by
Robert Arce of PrismaTech, Inc.

RPG-ILE Maximum Speed

If you develop applications using RPG, this presentation is for YOU.  We will see how to work with RPG-ILE at the maximum level.  A new design on how to construct your applications will be described using service programs to implement all the services that a file should provide.

We will use free format and NO parameter list to call or describe a program and no key list when accessing a file.  This new approach is adopted to make you READY for the new generation of interfaces where the interface could be created as GUI as well regular green screen.

We will see actual code on how to develop a small application with this new approach.

"Segregation by Modularization" is the key to success.
